Information on the speaker from the SUNY website: David Rankin is Associate Professor of Political Science and teaches courses on American Politics, Media and Politics, Elections in America, Public Opinion and Political Participation, and American Public Policy at State University of New York (SUNY) at Fredonia, NY. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His research interests include political psychology, political communication, the symbolic politics of trade, immigration and national identity, and mediated influences on political learning and civic engagement.
